ELISE LANE (Hall-Meyer) - (She/Her)
Elise Lane is a songwriter, sound designer and producer in Vancouver BC. Currently she marries her diverse musical experience and lyrical prowess to synth-driven retro beats, creating a throwback pop sound that is nostalgic with a unique spin. A curious artist at heart, she has written and performed in several projects spanning musical styles from bluegrass to soul and funk, earning a songwriting prize from Calgary FolkFest for the title track off her debut folk EP Dinosaurs, and touring western Canada with her alt-country band for the release of their full-length LP Songs for Adults.
She is currently in the process of releasing her third self-produced single as a solo artist and is in pre-production as composer for indie video game The Dream Recorder in collaboration with Canadian visual artist and writer Sean Karemaker.
